Building Schools in Afghanistan

It’s about time that more people saw that peace is the way to go. War is not healthy for children and other living things and bombs don’t solve anything.

Three Cups of Tea was probably one of the most ispiring books that I’ve read in a long time. This book showed Greg Mortenson’s amazing experience building schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan without forcing any Western ideals onto the communities. Through the goodness of his heart he has managed to get the Western world to donate funds so that he can build schools for impovershed communites and by doing so has shown these children and their families that there is a way of life outside of the Taliban and outside of terrorism. He has done more to help the people of Afghanistan then Bush has.
