politics

I admit that I don’t know all of the details about every candidate. I admit that I should know more about their economic policies. But it is statements like these that show why I am voting for the Obama/Biden ticket….

“I’m prepared as a matter of faith to accept that life begins at the moment of conception. But that is my judgment,” Biden said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “For me to impose that judgment on everyone else who is equally and maybe even more devout than I am seems to me is inappropriate in a pluralistic society.”(from MSNBC.com) Seriously, why does the Republican party think that they can tell everyone what to do? Why do they feel the need to mix their religious beliefs into the country’s politics?

I couldn’t even watch the Republican National Convention. Huckabee’s speech made me sick to my stomach. Palin horrifies me. The idea of her as President if something happens to McCain sends chills up my spine. The Huffington Post calls her The Trojan Moose Concealing Four more years of George Bush

“Palin, and the circus she’s brought to town, are simply a bountiful collection of small lies deliberately designed to distract the country from one big truth: the havoc that George Bush and the Republican Party have wrought, and that John McCain is committed to continuing.”

Even British rockers are begging Americans to vote for Obama. Not that I have a clue who Russell Brand is, but please, as he says, on behalf of the world, let’s get out there and elect Obama.
