Happy New Year!

So long 2009 and hello 2010! I’m not a big fan of resolutions because they don’t really happen and picking January 1st as the time to make changes doesn’t completely make sense. But, it is a good time to make lists and put things out there, so these are the things that I’ve been working on for some time and plan to continue working on…

  1. Staying healthy – I’ve been doing pretty good about working out and I’m going to continue on that trend. I’ve been getting bored by my routine so it’s time to change it up and as soon as the swimsuit I ordered arrived, I’m trying this swim workout. My plan is to swim M-W-F and then do strength training on Tues/Thurs.
  2. Going to bed earlier – For a while after I started working again I got the munchkin and I into a good routine and we were out of the house by 8:15 at the latest so I could start my workout well.  Then we started slipping to leaving closer to 8:45 because I couldn’t get out of bed as earlier. Well, early to bed early to rise, so I’m going to try and get to bed earlier.
  3. Being organized with food – I’ve been doing menu planning but of course that gets crazy during the holidays. I’m going to try and keep that up and keep bringing healthy foods into the house.
  4. Getting the finances in order – We have the finances, we just need to make sense of everything. This is more my job than my husbands, although we are also going to see a financial advisor.
  5. Finding my emotional center – probably my biggest challenge, but I’m going to tackle this one.

So that’s my plan. The munchkin is calling, so I’m off…
